“If your heart was the inn in which Jesus was to be born, would there be any room?”

Get ready to move into the week of JOY!

Hal Brandston (Snow Day)

Quote:

“If you ask me, the miracle isn’t how each snowflake is perfectly formed. The real winter miracle is what can happen afterward. It’s called a Snow Day. It’s a day kids live for.”

Devo:

Psalm 105:42–43, Exodus 15:1–3

The thing I love about joy is that it runs so much deeper than just good vibes that only last a little while based on our circumstances. The video from the Bible Project this week explains what joy really is. It tells us that it’s “an attitude God’s people adopt when we hope in God’s promises… It’s not defined by our current struggles, but by our future destiny.”

No matter what you might be going through right now, the Lord has joy for you! Look for it. Fight for it.

Finish the full devo on the bible app. And in case you missed the video on joy yesterday, you can watch it here.

Young Life Daily Challenge:

  • Which promises of God help you to rejoice today?
  • Share your answer to one of the reflection questions in the Bible app “talk it over” section.
  • Get outside and send us a picture in the *snow* today! It’s hard to beat the joy of a snow day.

We love you.
